What Is Combat Sambo?
Combat Sambo's early development stemmed from the independent efforts of Vasili Oshchepkov and Viktor Spiridonov to integrate the techniques of Catch wrestling, Judo, Jujutsu, and other foreign martial arts into native Turkic wrestling styles, Armenian kokh, Romanian trîntǎ, Mongolian khapsagay and Georgian chidaoba. Oschepkov taught judo to elite Red Army forces at the Central Red Army House.
Combat Sambo at Bury Defence Academy
At BDA ( Bury Defence Academy ) we offer Sambo classes where all our classes are led by coach Ameur Ammar.
Class timings:
Tuesday’s (Age 14+): 7:30pm-9pm
Thursday’s (Age 14+): 6pm-7:30pm
Sunday’s (Age 14+): 3:30pm-5pm
